What to Expect at a Slydogz Rock Concert

Slydogz present refreshing community music festivals aimed primarily at the over 40's who have a zest for life, a thirst for fun and quality lifestyle expectations.

If you love classic Aussie rock music, then Stanthorpe Rocks is the place to be. The performers are a veritable who's who of 70's and 80's rock but it's the other offerings that make this concert a class above all others.

Stanthorpe Rocks prides itself on being a boutique style festival aimed at the discerning festival goer who wants to have a great day out with fantastic music and food as well as a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Tickets are limited so there is loads of space which means there are never long queues and everyone gets a good view of the aciton.
Stanthorpe Rocks also provides a fantastic return to the Southern Downs region with an estimated $1million as a result of the concert. So not only is it a great event to attend, it is great for the local community too.

International Food Village & Bars

Nothing makes us growl more than greasy, fast food and overpriced beverages at festivals where you have to try and eat while standing in a crowded corner.

Slydogz festivals give you a dining experience using local providers who will be delivering quality food within an affordable price range as well as showcasing the offerings of the region. We ask that our food providers keep prices affordable (normally under $12 per plate) and all beverages in our bars reflect average cost at your local pub.

We even have dining areas under cover so you can actually sit and savour your food and our friendly crew keeps the areas spotlessly clean.

Rocktailz

Slydogz famous frozen Rocktailz will be at Stanthorpe Rocks with our huge range of refreshing, frozen cocktails. Visit the colourful cocktail bar and choose from a Strawberry Daiquiri, Margaraita, Mango Daiquiri, Pina Colada, Mojito, Mangolada or Strawberry Margarita!


Dance Zone

One thing you won’t hear at a Slydogz event is, “Sit down in the front”! We encourage everyone to get their tail wagging at our festivals and have set aside the area in front of the stage as a designated dance zone or the old-fashioned mosh pit.

The Bands also respond fantastically to the crowd getting in the groove and this makes for an even more enjoyable festival experience! The mosh pit features misting fans lightly spraying the crowds with chilled water, ensuring the dancers will keep cool and keep on dancing!


Market Stalls

An addition to the Slydogz festival experience is our market place. Go for a walk around the precinct and check out the different market stalls - there will be homemade goodies, value-added products, clothing, jewellery and so much more.

 

Beer Garden

During the breaks on the main stage, come down to the Beer Garden, grab a drink from our selection of beers, wines, ciders and spirits and enjoy half an hour performances from local talent. Soloist's and duo's from the Granite Belt will be entertaining the crowd when the big acts take a break.



Car Parking & Buses

The first thing and the last thing you experience at a festival is the car park and it can make or break the entire experience.

We make sure there is adequate car parking, it is close to the concert gates, our car park attendants have genuine smiles and the cost is a gold coin donation that goes back to a local community group.

Many of our festival goers enjoy having a drink, so we take the hassle out of organising a designated driver and provide buses to and from the concert with pick-ups from all of the major accommodation providers in the region.

Dollars in Your Community

Economic Benefits - Our events sell out and participants come from far and wide to attend. They stay and play before and after our events, therefore the economic benefits flow onto local accommodation providers, restaurants and cafes, tourist attractions and retail shops. We also offer a fantastic experience to local performers by giving them the opportunity to perform in front of an appreciative audience. Local suppliers are sourced to help run the event from equipment hire to first aid resulting in tens of thousands of dollars being injected back into the community.

Fundraising Opportunities - Local community and/or sporting groups have the opportunity to raise funds for their organisation at a Slydogz event. We always endeavour to involve as many of the local groups as possible to help them raise funds through associated activities such as car parking, rubbish collection, front gate and plenty more operations.

Merchandise

We offer a range of merchandise at non-rip-off prices, so if you forget your hat or your sunscreen, we can help you out. Plus you can take home something cool, from T-shirts, to stubbie coolers, to hats, to keep the memories alive.

Official Stanthorpe Rocks 2016 and Slydogz Range merchandise will be available from the Merch Stall, next to the main stage. Some of our bands will even be signing merchandise from the Merch Stall for a limited time after their performance, so don't miss your chance to meet your favourite rockstar!

Added Extra's

It's all the added extras that make a Slydogz event so memorable and keep people coming back time and time again - it's what sets us apart from all the rest.

For those want to take their festival experience to the highest level, we offer premium upgrades on your general admission or reserved seat ticket that include your own bar with premium beverages, canapés and express entry into the venue.

Each of our events has a cloakroom, run by a local community group, for you to store you possessions for the day. The cloakroom also offers a phone charging service for just $5 - so if your devices battery goes flat just drop it off at the cloakroom and come back in an hour to collect it, with a full battery!

We provide lots of shaded areas to keep you comfortable - our bars feature marquees and market umbrellas with dry bars to have a drink and enjoy the ambience; all of our dining areas provide seating in a spotless environment.
A free water refilling station is available to top up water bottles throughout the day.

We believe in running events with capped ticket numbers at around 5,000 people. This ensures a good crowd without feeling crowded! The social element is not lost and everyone has a fantastic view of the stage within easy access to facilities.
